The clutch center spring plays the role of quickly and forcibly returning the pulley from a high-ratio state to a low-ratio state using spring force during sudden acceleration from deceleration in curves or on slopes. By strengthening the spring, KITACO clutch center springs allow for a quicker return to low gear, enabling sharper acceleration.
It shifts the engagement RPM (shift-keep RPM) of the V-belt transmission (pulley) to a higher range, providing powerful riding characteristics that maintain the torque band.
