It is difficult to grip with enduro tires, Ikenohira (Aichi), Suzuran, and Yegatake (Mt. Yegatake), and it shows outstanding grip performance in all conventional difficult areas and hill climbs, such as in the rubble, poorly gripped humus, woods, tree roots, floating sand bedrock, and streams.

The real value of GEKKOTA is that if you're wondering whether to choose a tiger tire (e.g. Tourist) or a block tire (e.g. VE33), you can have the best of both worlds.
It's great for courses such as Muddy, gully and tree roots.
It ensures a certain amount of soil drainage, and exerts a tourist-like grip on wet tree roots and bedrock.
It feels less choppy in low pressure camber, especially with the new specs.
It's certainly not good at MX courses.
Even if it's 5 seconds slower in MX, how much time and energy will you lose once you get stuck?
I would recommend it to all riders who do not want to get stuck on a difficult course.

[Front Tire Impressions]
It's a tire that grips like a trial tire on rocks, roots, and fallen trees, and grips like an MX tire in camber and mud.
It provides a surprisingly secure grip in situations where you are likely to fall over from the front, such as downhill slanting rock or wet logs, just imagine.
If you're mainly riding in difficult places, there are many situations where you can be happy with the "Gekkota front", such as applying the front brake on a stream descent, or placing the front tire on a log for a second blowout.
Traditionally, streams and tree roots have been good for trial tires, but a trial tire on the front of an enduro motorcycle requires a slightly different way of riding at speeds above a certain level of speed.
Specifically, in the corners, we had to be aware of the position of the load on the front tire at all times, otherwise the front tended to slip out.
However, with Gekkota Front, even if the front load is removed, the side blocks can still catch the road surface, so you can tolerate some sloppy riding.
It is ideal for situations where you want to use a front tiger tire in the race, but also want to be fast in the corners.
The hard block sticks and gives you amazing grip on camber, fluffy descents and even Muddy descents that were thought to be gripping.
Especially in the roots of the trees on the way to camber are very, very grateful.
It's also strong for climbing because you can concentrate on opening the throttle without being shaken by galls and roots.
It seems to be perfect for galley climbs on mountain.
Also, like the tiger tire, it has a very high cushioning performance so you won't get tired anyway.

•How to use
Like the rear, it is based on low pressure operation. In my case, I used a range of 0.5-0.7.

•Merit
The puncture resistance is low, so IIRC I was operating with heavy tubes or moose.
Since the performance did not deteriorate drastically even with the Moose, it may be possible to use the Moose as well as the rear, as long as the Moose is somewhat leaner.

•Disadvantages
As mentioned above, it is prone to punctures, and it is not suitable for moving on asphalt because of its lack of durability on asphalt.
Also, the grip was not good on dry, hard-packed (so-called tickle-pan) MX tracks that require tire stiffness.
There is an overall lack of rigidity and a squishy feeling.
When attacking the MX course with high road temperature, the compound moves too much, and the blocks fall off the corners too quickly.
Also, this is an advantage, but as with the rear Gekkota, rather than gripping at the edges of the block, the sidewalls, treads, and blocks are softer and more plane gripping to wrap around the edges of the block, so they still grip even if the corners of the block fall off.
As a matter of fact, Life is quite a long tire, as long as you follow the instructions for use.

The difference between the new and old GEKKOTA is obvious.
It's newer, with increased side stiffness and less wobble, especially when cornering at high speeds.
It does not lose any of its traditional grip, however, and is arguably the strongest in the world when it comes to the playing field.
How to use GEKKOTA is to feel the sensation of the tires gripping the ground, and keep a careful gas pedal work in mind.
Rough acceleration not only reduces the grip, but also wears out the tires.
If you don't miss that point, this Gekkota will lead you to another dimension where you couldn't go until now.

[Front tire impressions]
For several years, in secret, this new front tire was tested in a number of different ways.
After going through my difficulty test and Mr. Taku Izumi's speed test, this is just a good mix of both.
In fact, in the G-net series, there is no longer any hesitation in choosing this Gekkota series, both front and rear.
Like the rear Gekkota, it's an amazing interdimensional grip that defies the conventional wisdom of the front tire. Try it!

•How to Use
My weight is 66 kg, the air pressure is about 0.7.
If it's a speedy race, I'd raise it by plus 0.1-0.2.

•Merit
First of all, you will feel as if you have another suspension.
It's tires pick up all the initial lumpiness.
It's so you can consistently trace a targeted line without missing it.
And, above all, its grip is great.
It can easily grab the ground and jackknife even on sandy, floating surfaces.
It is said that in real life, it will grip the roots of trees, gullies and stones of streams that slide well.
It gives you the peace of mind to lick and grip all the places where the tire used to be played.

•Disadvantage
