I purchased them as spare lights for the brake lamp. But my present vehicle has a tail lamp equipped with LED bulbs which have long life, so I might not need them anyway. The wires have one-touch coupling, so usually I plug off the coupler so that the LED doesn't light up.
It's eye-friendly and serves sufficiently serves functions as a reflector.
