Standard pads offer superior braking power, control, friction resistance, and low rotor wear compared to OEM parts. NTB has developed copper-free friction materials in anticipation of global environmental regulations regarding copper content in brake pads. These new materials provide braking power, rotor wear, and durability equivalent to current products. Existing stock will be transitioned to the new material as it becomes available.
Standard shoes feature a material that maintains braking power while reducing friction dust. They utilize aluminum die-cast material compliant with JIS standard ADC12, equivalent to OEM parts. NTB shoe springs exhibit approximately 1.2 times the durability of OEM parts based on 100,000-cycle fatigue testing. Materials are formulated to meet the international friction coefficient grade FF (OEM is FE), ensuring optimal performance at both ambient and high temperatures.
