When using a Φ12 master cylinder, clutch pull force is reduced by approximately 25% compared to the stock Φ26 release cylinder.

Depending on the year and model, there are two types of master cylinder piston diameters (Φ13 or Φ12). When combined with a Φ12 clutch master cylinder, clutch disengagement may be affected depending on the clutch condition.

In particular, for vehicles equipped with square tank-type clutch master cylinders or those without a lever adjuster mechanism, the piston stroke is reduced when replacing the release cylinder, which may lead to poor clutch disengagement.
While poor disengagement can be somewhat improved by fully breaking in the clutch discs or setting the lever further away (if equipped with a lever adjuster), please refer to the following for selection:

・If you prioritize light operation even if disengagement is slightly poor: Φ30mm
・If you want lighter operation than stock without compromising disengagement: Φ28mm

Best clutch release piston for old DUCATI

I am using this product on my DUCATI 996R. The clutch operation, which was heavy, has become lighter and easier.When I hold the clutch lever, it feels considerably lighter. I feel the clutch lever stroke for meet timing is farer compared to STD one, but I don't feel so much discomfort. a little longer, but I don't feel so much discomfort. I think many people feel that the clutch is basically heavy on older DUCATI models. This is recommended for such people.
