This cover replaces the original cover, and screws into the the original slot, using the stock bolt.It is a very good plastic reproduction of the original chromed alloy parts. The look is very similar to a brand new metal lower cover.However, since this cover is made of plastic, extra care is needed in cleaning, because it is not as durable as the original metal part. Always clean with damp/wet towel (or completely wet-wash the whole bike. Never clean with dry towel, especially if a lot of dust and/or other dirt is on the surface.Recommended to freshen up the look of the bike, as it is cheap enough to be used on an everyday bike. Cheap to replace if scratched/damaged
