[Product Description]
The Z kick starter arm is designed to fit stock stepped bikes and is based on the compact shape of the stock kick starter arm. The Z kick starter arm is designed with the compact shape of the stock kick starter arm in mind, and can be installed with up or down exhaust, stock clutch cover, or SP Takegawa clutch cover (wet or dry) simultaneously.
The body is made of forged steel with chrome plating.
■Comparison with conventional kick starter arm for back step
The outer pedal offset has been reduced compared to the conventional backstep pedal to minimize the load on the kick spindle.
However, the turning radius (distance from the center of the shaft) is the same length as that of the back step type, so engine starting is just as easy as with the stock type.
When a dry clutch is installed, the stroke volume is greatly increased compared to conventional products.

Until now, we have recommended the stock kick starter arm for up exhaust models and the back step kick starter arm for down exhaust models, even for stock step models. The Z kick starter arm is designed for stock steps and is not compatible with back steps, but it is compatible with both up and down exhausts to enhance the sense of custom of the bike while maintaining the stock style.
The conventional back step kick starter arm is compatible with both stock and back steps, but it cannot be used with up exhausts and is designed for down exhausts only.
In addition, the conventional forged aluminum kick starter arm is only for the stock step, not for the back step, and only for the down exhaust.

So glad we went with this one!
I was thinking of using something different, but my dad at the motorcycle shop recommended this product, and it was just the right length for my slightly lowered MONKEY. If I had used something different, the pedal would have touched the ground after kicking. The finish is just like Takegawa's.

I've been looking for a kick pedal that doesn't ruin the OEM style of my PlatingMONKEY, so I bought the Takegawa z StyleKick pedal. The balance of the z StyleKick pedal is just right for me.

Takegawa is great quality! Sturdy kick
The new kick lever is made of exceptional quality and feels really nice when you go to start your bike. Comes with the mounting screw and folds out with a nice audible "click" I will be buying another of these kick levers. Thank you!
