This speed sensor kit detects the rear wheel speed of the GROM and drives the stock speedometer.
Even if the sprocket is changed or SP Takekawa's 5-speed cross transmission is installed, it is possible to display the speed on the stock meter.
Also, when the tire size is changed due to customization of the vehicle, the display speed can be corrected in 16 steps from 84% to 114% of the stock speed by setting the rotary switch on the stock meter drive unit.
(Assuming that the outer diameter of a stock tire is 490mm, it corresponds to a tire outer diameter of approx. 411mm-approx. 558mm.)
The GROM specific installation harness is included, so you can install it with just a coupler without having to cut the stock harness.
This product is for use with the stock rear caliper bracket where the speed sensor is installed by attaching the special bracket to the stock rear caliper bracket.
The attached bracket for the speed sensor is made of machined aluminum with anodized surface.

I was able to use it even though it was a parallel import vehicle with an off-label VIN.
The speed sensor seems to affect whether the 5-speed mission can be installed or not, so I installed this kit first. The gap between the sensor and the Bolt of disc in the instruction manual was 4mm, but it didn't work, and when I made it 2mm or less, I was able to use it normally.
I'm going to build a 5 speed Mission next.

NORMAL's HappyMeter, compared to the GPSSpeed measurement, is more than 10 kg It's showing up fast I tried 4 different GPSSpeed measurement apps on my phone and it was almost the same number I knew it was displayed somewhat early, but 10+ km early is not acceptable The speed limit is a little over Plus, but I'm sure everyone else could have passed me Mr. Takekawa's display is just an error margin, even if the car and the Motorcycle run alongside each other with accuracy

I think that I would like to add 5th gear in the future, so there is also sometime in advance.
In the Instruction Manual I wrote something that seems to be deleted if the BracketSize does not match, but I finished my installation successfully without doing anything.
Although it is Normal tire, it is an error notation similar to NORMAL even if you measure the speed with GPS, so you can ride without worrying about anything.
Anxious point
Sensor's reaction ceased suddenly about 1 week after wearing, speed indication stopped at 0 km, but it stopped suddenly when running about 5 km.
After that there is no particular problem, but somewhat anxious.

It is a necessary part for 5 speed
I bought it because the Speedometer will not move with 5 speed
Installation is easy to understand because it is Instruction Manual with photo
Installation of the Sensor as Instruction Manual It did not fit unless it had to scrape with the File to install the Bracket
The setting is very simple as it is Dial
There is a time when the reaction which seemed to use occasionally appears like a Time lag
It is not enough to worry but f (^ _ ^;
