Buy it don't think about it just do it.
lock will keep it good and tight and still be easily removable when the time comes to service or change a tire.I bought this because of the lock feature. well worth it. i've had the wheel on and off maybe 10 times since the nut was put on no scaring of the finish so far but I use a box end wrench for it. since the axle end is now exposed with this nut I'd suggest getting a plastic plugs to cap off the axle so you don't pack dirt in the axle.
