ROADTEC 01 has tested tread pattern design and has adopted the characteristic 'transversal groove'.
This enabled us to obtain mechanical gripping performance due to the pattern angles, even when touring long distances in mid-summer on heavy touring bikes, and even in mid-winter conditions with low road surface temperatures.
The design of the front tire has a large percentage of horizontal grooves, which is very different from the vertical grooves of the ROADTEC Z8 INTERACT.
These lateral grooves act to grip the road surface under high load and provide high gripping performance, especially when braking on low friction surfaces.At the same time, it ensures high drainage.

ROADTEC 01 has a more flexible carcass and a new profile that allows the tire to change shape more easily, improving grip and shock absorption.

To counter these unwanted movements, the peak of the belt tension is brought to the middle bank angle to improve cornering accuracy and prevent the front tires from behaving erratically when banking.
The tension is reduced from the shoulder to the edge, and the tire is designed to change shape easily, improving grip and road-following ability.
The tension of the steel belt in the center section is less than in the middle shoulder section.
