I think there is another frame protector made by ACERBIS, but you can buy one made by Poly sports for about half the price.
I have used the ACERBIS frame protector on other models, but the difference is that the heel is made of a different material.:It is available with or without Plastic Guard.
I think the ACERBIS Protector has a slightly better heel grip than the ACERBIS Protector because of this.
However, I felt that it was the difference of the degree that I did not mind. I don't think there is any particular thing that becomes slippery when this Protector is installed.
The overall shape and the method of inserting BoltAnchor into Swing arm pivot and fixing it to Frame by Tie Band are almost same.
I think the strength and durability of the whole Protector is almost the same etc.
The protection is good, and the OffBoots are mostly protected from scrapes, falls and stepping stones.
The product comes with all the (presumably weatherproof) Tie Bands, Anchor bolts, etc. for installation and is ready to install.
There are many cases that Poly sports plastic parts are not well made and the screw holes do not fit, but this part is not something that you have to adjust, so it was not particularly difficult to install.
I think the Brake pedal needs to be removed.
By the way, the ACERBIS Protector has a Rubber Damper on the back of the Frame to prevent the Guard from rubbing against the Frame, but after long term use, the Damper left a very strong contact mark on the Frame.
Based on this experience, I put Universal's Protection sheet on the Frame in advance of installation to protect it.
It's not a place for rust, so thin adhesive Sponge tape is fine, but I think anything too thick will interfere with the installation.
To be honest, I was not sure about purchasing the ACERBIS product which is twice the price, but at this price, I would definitely recommend installing it for when you resale.
