This oil cooler kit fits inside the stock lower leg shield and can be installed without ruining the silhouette of the motorcycle.
Furthermore, Type 2 has a thermostat mountable structure, which is available only from SP Takegawa, to prevent overcooling.
Features of Oil Cooler Kit
Even with the oil cooler installed, it fits inside the stock lower leg shield and does not affect the silhouette of the bike.
The oil outlet is a die-cast adapter attached to the stock oil filter, and oil is taken out.The oil element is the highly reliable SP Takegawa original cartridge type paper type.
The stainless steel intake plate is included for the case that the stock lower leg shield is processed and the air conducting hole is installed.
M5 temperature sensor can be mounted
You can measure the temperature change at the adapter.If you are currently using SP Takegawa Super Multi LCD Meter, you can display the temperature by connecting the M5 temperature sensor and extension cord to the adapter.
If you are not using SP Takegawa's Super Multi LCD Meter, you can use the Compact LCD Thermometer (Battery Operated) with M5 Temperature Sensor Set (Part No: If you purchase 07-04-0037), you can measure the temperature change.
In addition, when placing the thermometer around the meter, use the sensor extension cord (part number: 07-04-0522) is required.

Die-cast aluminum adapter for thermostat mounting.
The Type 2 adapter is made of die-cast aluminum with a barrel polished finish and has a thermostat mountable structure.(Patent pending)

The adapter is equipped with a blind plug, so it can be used as an extraction adapter without the thermostat unit.
