Yamaha OEM Grommet Installation to the TDub TANK
My 1987 TW200 tank grommet was cracked So I need to replace it.As usual I got the Brand new parts from webike shop . Before I put a new grommet onto the fuel tank need to removed the left & right side plastic covers off. Installation process shouldn't be difficult.Put a little bit of silicone grease on the rubber to help it slide easy. If you don't have, a little brake fluid will also help but not adversly affect the rubber.Try inserting one side first and working around the perimeter as you push on the grommet. I also used small flat screwdriver tool to help me with the insertion.Don't forget to cover the flat screwdriver edge with a electrical tape to prevent damaging the grommet perimeter.With a slight twisting motion and downward pressure it popped right in.Makes sure it fits as flat as possible to the surface of the fuel tank before install the side covers in.Thanks a lot webike for the support.First Class Packaging & Good Quality Service.If You need parts for your machine,webike shop is the best place to get parts at reasonable prices.
