If a bike whose headlights are always on is riden with the lights off due to simple modification (just disconnecting the wires), the unconsumed power will increase the voltage of the entire bike.
If you continue to ride the bike as is, the battery may deteriorate due to overcharging or the stock regulator may fail due to excessive strain.
The adverse effect is stronger in the case of the engine modification which runs at a higher engine speed than stock.
If the headlight has gone out stop riding immediately, or switch to high beam (and adjust the optical axis) if it is necessary to ride.
At this time, ride at low rpm as much as possible.
Removing all security parts from a race bike requires specialized knowledge and replacement or additional parts.

■Do not install aftermarket H.I.D. kits, or LED headlights or fog lamps made by other companies at the same time.
Some ballasts / inverters (voltage converters) emit high-voltage noise that may adversely affect digital circuits, causing product failure or malfunction.

■Do not install an aftermarket ignition system, ignition coil, plug cord, or racing plugs (non-resistor type), as they may cause a malfunction due to an increase in adverse noise.
Deterioration of ignition system components is also related to increased ignition noise.

■Do not install an aftermarket power generator because it may cause a drop in battery voltage due to insufficient charging power or malfunction of control voltage, which may result in failure or damage.

Gauge series to be inserted into the stock headlight case of Monkey Ape.It can be easily installed by simply replacing the stock speedometer.
SP Takegawa calls this meter "D type" because it looks like a D shape when you look at the body from below.
D type is recommended for those who want to upgrade the instrumentation to match the engine tuning.

■Details
This LCD meter is equipped with a speedometer, tachometer, odometer and trip meter in a compact space.
In addition, the maximum speed record, maximum RPM record, and fuel warning display (when equipped with the Monkey FI) have been added to make the meter highly functional and full of SP Takegawa's attention and ingenuity.

The LCD display technology that SP Takegawa has been developing for a long time allows you to see the meter display from the riding position without disturbing it.
The new D-type meter is equipped with a new LCD panel and a dial that has been designed to suppress unevenness in the light emission in order to further improve the visibility of the meter, enabling a high level of display function both during the day and at night.
The fuel warning light is built in the meter, so the stock fuel warning light can be removed and the meter area can be integrated.

Equipped with features for custom vehicles
Speed correction function (50%-210% of stock) that can correspond to the detailed setting of the tire size change and the wheel size change, and RPM signal reading function with high versatility that corresponds to the reading of the pulse generator signal that has little influence on the custom parts of the ignition system in addition to the primary side and secondary side of the ignition coil are equipped.

Comfortable operation with external switch
The switch that is necessary for switching the meter's function display and checking records is a separate type, which makes it easy to operate the switch when switching and can be installed on the back of the top bridge.Lightweight and compact, it can be easily installed with the included adhesive tape.

D-type meter for easy installation
The meter comes with dedicated wiring for each vehicle, so there is no need for any wiring modification.It is easy to install as you only need to replace the stock meter in the stock light case and connect the wires.

New control circuit built-in
Wide stable operating voltage range (DC / AC 8-16V) and new control circuit for temporary overvoltage (18V / 1 hour, 24V / 1 minute) are built in.

Fitted on CRM250AR, modern Meter

There are four OEMIndicators for the CRM250AR, and it was difficult to find one that would fit on the external Meter.
We decided to cut off only the Speedometer section.
In this case, the Meter's large size (diameter) would be limited, so we decided to use this product, which is as large as the OEM and has a high functionality.

It was much more visible than the OEMMeter, and incidentally, it was better because it had a Tachometer.
For some reason, the Tachometer display sometimes became unstable at high RPM.
(I had no problem with other Tachometers)

Switching between displays can also be done via External Switch, which was very easy to operate.

Functional beauty Digital tachometer

I wanted a tachometer, and I bought a meter with less refreshing.
I installed this Digital meter.
However, due to the nature of the APE, the wiring is concentrated in the meter. However, due to the nature of the APE, the wiring is concentrated in the meter, so it can be quite tight.
The Speedometer Cable can also be used without modification.
The work takes about one hour.
The digital tachometer also looks pretty good.
