[What is TOURING MAPPLE?]
Touring Mapple is a road map that has been published with the trust of travelers for more than 35 years, counting from its predecessor, Motorcycle Touring Mapple.

We have made a clear distinction between the "Recommended Roads" and "Access and Shortcut" specifications, which have been confusing and difficult for users to understand for many years.

●Update of map contents
As usual, we are updating the commentary information based on real-ride coverage by the assigned rider and monitor data, just like in previous years.
In addition, by making full use of Shobunsha's map information and various coverage networks, it also corresponds to the aging information (opening, opening, closing, relocation) of a huge number of roads and facilities.
Comments on roads such as scenic beauty, pleasant roads, winding roads, dirt roads, as well as comments on various genres such as hot springs, roadside stations, gourmet food, famous water, historical spots, dams, campgrounds have been newly added and revised this year.

The person in charge of coverage introduces spots and gourmet experiences encountered at each location with photos.
This feature aims to help you find the destination and purpose of your trip.
Also, the annual "Reader Submission Page" is still alive and well this year.
Users are asked to submit their photos via Twitter, and from among the many submitted photos, the author riders have selected 10 for each area.

●Folding Map
On the front side, there is an easy-to-understand map of the highway network, and on the back side, there is a full-scale wide-area map for writing and filling in.
The back side of the map is printed in two colors, blue and black, instead of just white (printed in monochrome), in order to maintain the ease of writing on the map and to improve its distinguishability as a map.
You can fill in the areas and roads you've passed, write your plans, and use this map to record your trip.

●Hokkaido rider introduction

A freelance photographer based in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture and Asahikawa City, Hokkaido.
Since the replacement of Shobunsha's Motorcycle Touring Map by Touring Mapple, It has been in charge of reporting on Hokkaido.
Responsible for all cover photos of the first edition.
He also launched the brand "Hokkaider" and has been actively sending out information about Hokkaido, gaining the trust of travelers who love Hokkaido throughout Japan.
He has contributed to many motorcycle magazines.
It is the author of Hokkaido Spectacular Road Selection (1-3) and Hokkaido Touring Perfect Guide 2014-2018.
Hokkaido Traveler Information Base Gallery & Cafe "HOKKAIDER BASE" (40C-4) will open in Asahikawa City in June 2021.
