Standard center springs are typically made of piano wire or vanadium wire. This kit utilizes silicon chrome oil-tempered wire, a material with higher performance than those used in racing machines, to significantly improve performance.
■ Acts to reinforce the torque cam, which forces the transmission into a low-gear state (opening the pulley) during rapid acceleration from deceleration in corners or on inclines. By correcting torque cam function, it enables faster shifting to low-gear mode and sharper re-acceleration.
■ Shifts the pulley engagement RPM (timing when the pulley begins to move) to a higher range, maintaining higher shift RPM. For machines with ported cylinders or aftermarket chambers, this allows for settings that maintain the torque band in the higher RPM range, enabling powerful performance.
■ Assists in efficient shifting during constant engine RPM changes in normal riding. Also allows for correction of weight roller settings (acts to lighten the currently used rollers).
* The tension value of this center spring is approximately 15% higher when installed in the torque cam (compressed state) to simulate real-world conditions. Values may vary slightly depending on the vehicle model due to differences in stock spring tension.
* The Performance Center Spring is developed for high-RPM tuned engines. Installing this kit alone on a stock vehicle is unnecessary due to engine characteristics and may cause issues such as loss of total balance, decreased speed, or excessive engine RPM without power gain. As this is a drivetrain tuning part, please select based on your machine's tuning specifications and riding preferences. Uses silicon chrome oil-tempered wire, which exceeds the performance of silicon vanadium wire used in racing. Demonstrates excellent durability under high-temperature, long-term use. Spring surface is treated with US Military standard manganese phosphate coating (Parker Lubrite #1A).
